Summerdaze Summerdaze Summerdaze Summerdaze Summerdaze Summerdaze Summerdaze Summerdaze Summerdaze

Thanks for joining us this summer in the Queenstown Lakes. We look forward to bringing you an exciting line up of events in January 2015.

Summerdaze, celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2014, is a month-long fun-filled programme featuring more than 40 events staged across the Queenstown Lakes district from Glenorchy to Hawea.

It all starts with the New Year’s Eve celebrations on the lakefronts in Queenstown and Wanaka with an awesome line-up of live bands and spectacular firework displays to light up the night sky and bring in 2014 with a cheer.

January is packed with events for all ages featuring music, sport, markets, outdoor cinema and entertainment. Many are absolutely free! For the little ones we’re again hosting an ‘after-hours’ PJ Party in Queenstown and Wanaka libraries, along with our legendary Teddy Bears’ Picnic in Wanaka and – brand new for 2014 – the Remarkables Park Town Centre Big Picnic.

For sport enthusiasts there’s Super 15 rugby, international cricket, mountain biking, yatching, triathlons and horse shows.

The Queenstown Lakes district thrives on the vibrancy of summer so get out there and make the most of it with Summerdaze 2014!

Summerdaze brings us all together as a community – residents, visitors, businesses and the Council – to create a month of fun and colour. Whether you take your summer at full throttle or a leisurely cruise, you’ll love the choices. We’ve got arts – sport – culture and time to enjoy it all with your family and friends.
