2012 Queenstown Chess Classic

A 9-round international tournament, open to players – of any playing strength – from both New Zealand and abroad. Everyone is welcome. Chess is for everyone – drop by and watch 10-year-old kids battling on equal terms with the experienced adults.

Queenstown Primary School Holiday Programme

Club QPS provides a safe, fun, welcoming and enriching environment for children aged 5 to 13 years old. The holiday programme offers a varied and stimulating programme for kids with use of the school grounds, library, hall and swimming pool.  Children must bring their lunch, drink bottle, sunhat and snacks for morning and afternoon tea.

When: 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday – Friday
Cost: Daily rate $30 per day or $25 if more than one child attending

Radio Wanaka 5km Charity Fun Run/Walk

Dress up and get active during the Challenge Wanaka Triathlon Festival with an easy 5km run along the lakefront and through the spectacular Rippon Vineyard with proceeds going to the Upper Clutha Children’s Medical Trust. Prizes for best fancy dress.

 

Where:  Lake Wanaka foreshore, opposite the show grounds

Registration 5:30pm, run starts at 6:30pm Monday 16 January.
Cost: $10 for non-Challenge Wanaka athletes
