ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup
The top sixteen Under-19 cricket teams from around the globe will gather in New Zealand to contest the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Queenstown will be hosting a pool phase daily at the Events Centre.

Lake Wanaka Half

QVSS Festival of Chamber Music
The inaugural QVSS Festival of Chamber Music, encompasses and expands upon the activities of the Queenstown Violin Summer School.
The internationally renowned Summer School brings 25 brilliant young violinists to Queenstown to study with outstanding national and international artist/teachers.
The Festival features performances by guest ensembles/artists including NZTrio, Dimitri Atanassov (Bulgaria/NZ), Kevin A. Lefohn (USA/NZ), Vesa-Matti Leppänen (Finland/NZ), Tom McGrath (NZ), Professor Yair Kless (Austria/Israel), Kirsten Simpson (NZ), Sarah Watkins (NZ) and winner of the 2005 Michael Hill International Violin Competition, virtuoso Feng Ning (China/Germany).

Sunday 17 January, 8.00pm Skyline, Wakatipu Room. Australian Filmmaker Tim Slade’s award-winning movie has been made especially available to the Festival. Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and four outstanding violinists are the threads used to explore how nature shapes who we are. Filmed in Australia, USA, Japan and Finland. Enjoy this special evening from the top of the mountain with a complimentary gondola ride.

International Festival Concert
