Road Closures and Liquor bans:
Road Closures: Ardmore Street from Dungarvon Street to the Lakeside Road/Ardmore Street intersection. Helwick Street from Ardmore Street to Dunmore Street.
Period of Closure: 5.00 pm Thursday 31st December 2009 to 2.00 am Friday 1st January 2010.
Extended Liquor Ban: From 6am on Sunday 27th of December 2009 to 6am Wednesday 6th January 2010 there will be a liquor ban enforced within the areas specified by the QLDC – see www.qldc.govt.nz for further information
New Year’s Eve Queenstown
Join us to celebrate the New Year with live music and a fantastic fireworks display. A great line-up of bands including the Oxo Cubans and the Medicine Men in Queenstown as well as a DJ stage.

NB Connectabus will be providing New Year’s Eve transportation following the Celebrations. Buses will be depart from O’Connell’s Pavilion check www.connectabus.com for timetable details.
Connectabus services from Frankton – Queenstown – Fernhill will run to 11.15pm every 30 minutes.
Kelvin Heights pick-ups will be 9.00pm – 10.oopm starting at Oregon Drive to Queenstown.
Arrowtown – Queenstown departures are 9pm and 10pm.
After midnight departures from downtown Queenstown will be every 15 minutes covering Fernhill, Frankton, Kelvin Heights, Lake Hayes Estate and Arrowtown. These services will stop at approx 4.30am.

Challenge Wanaka
The world’s most scenic iron distance triathlon. Join the thousands of spectators who line the route and finish chute cheering on these inspirational athletes.
